NYC to CT is an independent planning and inquiry-routing service. This notice explains the information we collect, why we use it, who may receive it, and the choices available to you.

Information collected

The matcher processes preferences such as budget, commute, home size, priorities, and timing to generate results. If you save a brief, we store those answers and matched towns behind an unlisted link. If you request assistance, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, timeframe, towns, request details, consent record, and the page on which you submitted the request.

How an inquiry is handled

An inquiry is stored in a restricted intake ledger and emailed to one designated NYC to CT intake coordinator. With the consent provided on the form, that coordinator may forward the inquiry once to one appropriately licensed real-estate broker selected using neutral criteria such as geography, active license status, availability, workload, and requested service. The selected broker becomes an independent recipient responsible for its own privacy practices. NYC to CT does not send inquiries to mortgage lenders, attorneys, title companies, insurers, advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated parties.

Purpose and legal basis

We use contact information only to respond to the visitor-requested service, document consent and routing, prevent abuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or make decisions based on protected characteristics.

Service providers and security

Cloud hosting, database, authentication, and transactional-email providers process information only to operate the service. Access to contact records is limited to authorized accounts. Data is encrypted in transit, and notification credentials are stored as hosted secrets rather than in website source.

Retention

Unengaged inquiries and saved briefs are scheduled for deletion after twelve months. Anonymous analytics events are scheduled for deletion after 400 days. A record involved in a completed referral, legal hold, dispute, security incident, or brokerage relationship may be retained longer when reasonably required; the receiving broker applies its own legally required retention schedule.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses a random session identifier to measure page views and product events. Analytics exclude names, email addresses, phone numbers, property addresses, free-form inquiry text, quiz answers, and URL query strings. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.

Your choices

You may withdraw an inquiry before forwarding and request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of information we control. Email privacy@nyctoct.com and include the reference number from your confirmation email. We will verify the request and respond as required by applicable law. After an inquiry has been forwarded, contact the identified broker as well because that broker controls its copy.

Children and sensitive information

The service is intended for adults considering real estate. Do not submit Social Security numbers, financial-account information, government identifiers, health information, protected-class information, or other sensitive personal data in free-form fields.
